POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for directing all internal audit and control activities for the Company to ensure the Company is compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, plans, procedures, ethical standards and public responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Develop, implement and direct a comprehensive program of internal audit and controls within the Company to ensure the Company is managing its resources effectively, efficiently and economically. * Ensure Company assets are properly accounted for, and are adequately safeguarded from loss. Determine that accounting records are adequate, reliable and properly reflect the transactions of the organization. Identify potential for or instances of irregularities including fraud, abuse or error and report suspected instances of conflicts of interest and unethical conduct. * Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of accounting practices, financial reporting and internal controls of the Company. * Advise management when current practices are not consistent with Company policies or fail to provide necessary controls or factual records. Recommend the appropriate corrective action required to ensure the operation will meet the standards of control satisfactory to management and the Audit Committee. Perform follow-up of recommendations and corrections implemented. * Assist the Audit Committee in fulfillment of its fiduciary duties and responsibilities by providing independent appraisal of the Company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, plans, procedures, ethical standards and public responsibilities. * Direct implementation and compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley SOX Section 404 internal controls and identify and correct any deficiencies. * Perform financial, operational and compliance audits to analyze the quality and effectiveness of internal operating policies and administrative procedures. * Report audit results, findings, conclusions and recommendations to senior management. * Provide timely information to management to assist in attainment of Company goals and objectives. * Conduct special examinations at request of senior management. * Evaluate control areas of new systems and services prior to implementation or installation. * Prepare, secure approval and implement department operating budget. * Develop, document and implement policies and procedures for the Internal Audit department. * Oversee the selection and development of staff. Interview, hire, train, counsel and evaluate the performance of, and when necessary, discipline and/or discharge personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) and/or four to ten years related experience.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Certificates & Licenses Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
Other Requirements Prior experience performing risk assessments and audits in a manufacturing environment is required. Prior experience identifying process improvement opportunities with an audit environment is required.
