Description The JD Edwards Sr. Analyst for Finance area will be responsible for delivering new functionality as well as managing the daily support activity. The JD Edwards Sr. Analyst for Finance will be expected to coordinate all aspects of the relationship between Information Technology and the Finance Department (Internal Customer) which include the day to day operations, maintaining high levels of service, assisting to gather business requirements for new functionality, system design, execution and completion of initiatives or projects. The JD Edwards Sr. Analyst for Finance is expected to have large experience and be knowledgeable about all E1-JDEdwards Financial Modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Contract Billing, Fixed Assets and Job Cost). Finally, the JD Edwards Sr. Analyst for Finance must be able to provide problem anticipation, and problem solving on an enterprise level. Which include solving break fixes and other production support issues in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinate across a global organization with communication on all levels (both oral and written). Must remain continuously aware of business application and infrastructure issues and act as a sounding board or consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions. Direct Reports § None § Expected to coordinate and manage teams of internal/external system analysts and developers Essential Job Functions & Requirements Business Knowledge: § Assist Finance Department in defining project requirements, conducting business requirement gathering sessions, building business cases and assisting on prioritizing their IT requests. § Identifies alternatives to solve business problems § Understanding of Finance and statutory requirements for a global company § Understanding of Finance requirements for an Oil&Gas upstream service company § Understanding requirements of multicurrency and multicompany accounting § Understanding Finance requirements for USGAAP and IFRS (International Finance Reporting Standards) § Understanding of the Financial implications of the following processes: - Procurement-to-Pay. - Capital Expenditures (from Construction in Progress and Job Cost till Fixed Asset) - Service/Contract-to-Cash - Financial Monthly/Yearly close. IT Knowledge: § Understanding technical IT architecture of E1 (8.9 or higher), capability to dig into how the business functions are structured and how they interact with the various applications. § Large experience on Configuration activities (processing options, versions, UDCs, etc), use of E1 Fat Client, use of OMW process for change control. § Need to have large experience in all Finance Modules using E1, very familiar on analyzing Oracle SARs and ESUs. § Need to have Database relationship knowledge and be familiar with Database inquiry tools such as Access Database Browser, ODBC, SQL or Business Intelligence (BI) tools. § Need to manage concepts for system/program design, in order to come up with a cost effective IT solution that meets business requirements. § Performs medium to complex system configuration, maintenance, and solution implementation for system issues, upgrades, and enhancements § Ensure data integrity of Finance enterprise systems § Be Knowledgeable about interfaces and use of JDE Interoperability (Z-Process, EDI, APIs, etc.) User Support and IT Governance related Activities § Responsible for the Support of production systems including investigating and resolving complex situations related to either data, system configuration, programs, user procedures or user training. § Collaborates and coordinate with technical resources to resolve complex system issues § Develops documentation for complex system designs. Develop specification for program development § Develops and conducts Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing of complex system issues, upgrades and enhancements § Assesses upstream and downstream impact of system changes and communicates with other departments to ensure an integrated solution § Understanding of IT Governance standards (such as Cobit). Bilingual in Spanish, French or Portuguese is a plus. § Must possess excellent communication skills (oral and written) as well as excellent customer service attitude. § Must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Health and Safety Requirements: § Must complete safety orientation prior to visiting rig location, and annual thereafter (if applicable).
