Main Function:

The Human Resources Assistant position based in Houston, Texas will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Human Resources Manager and the department.


Duties and Responsibilities:

•Prepare applicant, new hire and benefit packages.
•Recruiting Duties: Interview and hire hourly employees - (shared duties)
•Greet visitors/applicants to the HR Department.
•Maintain confidential employee files, benefit files and I-9 books.
•Provide general office support such as distributing mail/faxes, processing business card orders, maintaining inventory, and photocopying/filing documents.
•Projects as assigned by HR Manager Skills and Requirements:
•High School Graduate/Some college a plus
•Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish).
•1 to 5 years experience in Human Resources
•Able to handle confidential documents/information
•Able to adhere to deadlines.
•Excellent written, verbal and oral skills.
•Ability to be proactive and take initiative.
•Strong computer skills.
•Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively.

Computer Skills:

•Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
•ADP software for HRIS is a plus but not mandatory
•Computer Literate
