I. GENERAL
1. Partner with Director of Operations on the daily maintenance and repairs of Campsite property
2. Work with Director of Operations to ensure successful implementation of all Campsite events
3. Maintain a high level of productivity with maintenance staff through quality supervision, training, feedback and follow-up
4. Maintain appropriate equipment care, efficient use of materials, and shop maintenance through strict control of inventory and proper usage procedures
5. Develop forms and work schedules to ensure efficient staff productivity
II. ADMINISTRATION
1. Maintain service logs for equipment, pools, machinery, etc.
2. Maintain records for livestock, vet, farrier, etc.
3. Maintain proper inventory levels of materials, equipment and tools for efficient Campsite operations
4. Maintain monthly inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies
5. Order maintenance supplies, i.e. fluids, fuels, chemicals, and repair maintenance items for the shop; follow agency’s purchasing procedures
III. DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS
1. Assign tasks for day and follow-up personally with frequent inspections
2. Conduct routine inspections and reports on mechanical operations, i.e. pools, sewer, wells, HVAC, and equipment
3. Shred, mow, cut grass on a regular schedule and as needed
4. Ensure proper maintenance and repair of all activity areas on the grounds, i.e. sports areas, covered outdoor patios, equipment, location set-up, ponies, canoes/paddleboats, etc.
5. Ensure proper clean-up and storage of equipment
6. Inspect internal and external grounds for cleanliness and maintenance needs; fix, repair, clean when appropriate
7. Complete special projects, i.e. repairs to equipment & facilities, construction, pool maintenance/cleaning, refurbishing as required, etc.
8. Provide Director of Operations with daily task list
IV. PREPARATION AND OVERSITE OF EVENTS
1. Review event calendar with Director of Operations; work with Director of Operations to prepare for all events
2. Work with Maintenance team and Director of Operations to set up and tear down all events; ensure appropriate amount of staff is available and prepared for events
3. Attend events; be prepared to provide support as needed
4. On call for all overnight events; prepare for special needs and emergencies
5. Direct supervision of Community Service workers (?)
IV STAFF TRAINING AND EVALUATION
1. Train staff in proper usage of activity areas, i.e. ponies, maintaining cleanliness, etc.
2. Provide scheduled training on the proper use and operation of equipment
3. Supervise use of tools and their storage
4. Conduct staff evaluations according to set schedules or as needed
V. STAFFING
1. Partner with Ranch Operations Director and Human Resources to maintain appropriate staffing levels
2. Interview and select qualified candidates
3. Conduct orientation; review job responsibilities
VI. HOMESTEAD
1. Keep house clean and maintained
2. Sustain a reasonable amount of utility usage
3. Report maintenance issues immediately to Senior Associate Executive Director
4. Follow agency’s policies and procedures regarding presence of personal guests on the campsite property
VI. OTHER: Any and all duties deemed appropriate by supervisor for the efficient operation of the Gordon Ranch.
Qualifications:
3-5 years experience managing property or a ranch type facility
3-5 years supervisory experience
Willing to work flexible schedule, including multiple weekends throughout the year
Must be able to live on the Gordon Ranch Property year round
