Description:
Our team of Member Activities Instructors works to provide entertaining and educational athletic programs for our members. Utilize your excellent customer service skills and passion for kids in this exciting position!
Responsibilities:
As a Youth Fitness Instructor, you will create a fun and enthusiastic environment to engage children in a wide variety of exciting fitness-based activities. Organize and implement testing and lesson plans for the children while inspiring them to make fitness a part of their daily lives.
·Facilitate organized Fit Academy activities and ensure children are active and engaged throughout class
·Create and follow organized lesson plans that focus on muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, coordination, and fun
·Explain and demonstrate activities to participants
·Provide feedback and measure to participants/parents through pre/post testing report card
·Participate and make decisions regarding activities in the program
·Utilize your sales ability to promote all Member Activities programs
·Articulate extensive knowledge of Life Time Fitness products, services, policies and procedures
·Inventory and make suggestions for Fit Academy equipment
·Coordinate the schedule for Fit Academy with Member Activities Department Head
Qualifications:
·Working towards a college degree in Exercise and Sport Science, Elementary Education with a Coaching Emphasis or a related field.
·PE Instructor, Group Fitness Instructor or Certified Personal Trainer.
·Six months to one year experience working with children
·One year experience in coaching youth programs (preferred)
·Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification
·Coaching Certification
