Job Description

We are currently seeking a senior consultant for a casual employee (part-time) position in our White Plains, NY or Houston, TX offices.  The successful candidate will be able to perform consulting work independently and as part of a team, as well as contribute to business development with clients in the Americas.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Perform consulting engagement tasks, including cash flow, cost of production modeling, and independent engineer work

·         Identify leads for financially-related fuels and chemicals/polymers consulting work in the Americas in the $25,000- $100,000 range

·         Develop scope of work concepts

·         Participate in writing proposals

Job Qualifications

·         B.S. in engineering (chemical, polymer, or petroleum) is required; M.B.A. is a plus

·         Five years of consulting company experience in chemicals, polymers, or fuels is required

·         Five years of operating company or engineering company (chemicals, polymers, or fuels) experience is required

·         Experience in at least three of the following job activities:  technical and economic valuation, plant valuations, production cost benchmarking, project feasibility analyses, chemical price forecasting, and investment opportunity screening

·         Practical understanding of basic cost accounting and valuation concepts is required

·         Good interpersonal demeanor and skills for interacting with clients

·         Good understanding of the scope and methodology for executing consulting engagements

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·         Financial experience is a plus, as is ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time
