Technical specialist possessing advanced knowledge in area of Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree Completions.  As a member of an integrated project team, will participate in the delivery of completion concepts and costs for formal project sanction.  Leads and/or conducts and/or participates in complex completion engineering studies to ensure best in class subsea completions using BAT (best available technology).  Develops completion, recompletion and workover plans and specifies equipment and materials for new and existing Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree wells Completions, primarily focused on the Gunflint Development, as well as future deepwater developments.  Works with the Deepwater Drilling, Subsurface and Reservoir teams to ensure optimal design of Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree Completions.
       
Detailed Description       
       
       

·         Establishes best-in-class standards to ensure the success of all Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree Completions.

·         Establishes and tracks metrics by which to gauge the success of every completion.

·         Develops and analyzes tender packages for vendor selection of Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree completion equipment.

·         Coordinates vendors to ensure availability of materials, equipment, and personnel for Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree Completions.

·         Lead multi-disciplined team in designing and specifying upper completion hardware including: tubulars and packers, flat packs / chemical injection system, downhole pressure and temperature gauge selection and location, flow assurance issues and mitigation (i.e. hydrates and ‘hands-off’ time for unplanned shut-ins), and well interventions/SIMOPS.

·         Designs /specifies perforating and sand-face completion methods and techniques.   Develops all Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree Completion procedures to ensure they comply with business unit engineering standards.

·         Develops and recommends all Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree Completion AFE’s.

·         Interfaces with Deepwater Drilling Team, Gunflint Development Team and Deepwater Development Subsurface and Reservoir Teams to insure the highest quality completions.

·         Reviews and approves completion fluid compatibility studies, return permeability studies, and reservoir and reservoir fluids testing programs designed to ensure maximum producability and well life.

·         Supervises on-site execution of all Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree Completions.

·         Has line approval for all Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree Completion procedures.

·         Responsible for organizing and conducting all CWOP (Complete Well on Paper) meetings.

·         Presents “lessons learned” and recommendations to the Gunflint Team, Deepwater Business Unit and Operations Services managers.

·         Participates in industry seminars and workshops to ensure best-in-class knowledge exchange.

·         Provides completion engineering support to other Noble Energy Business Units as required.

·         Coordinates with partners on non-operated wells to maximize completion design and execution.

·         Responsible for maintaining required safety training and compliance.

·         Provides technical guidance and development to others in discipline.

·         All other duties assigned by supervisor.
       
Job Requirements       
       
       

·         Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of ten years experience in Deepwater Subsea completion operations.

·         Proficient understanding of drilling, Deepwater Subsea and dry-tree Completions, workover and production of oil and gas wells

·         Ability to organize, prioritize and make decisions under time restrictions
