Position Summary
The Director of Marketing will lead Sparkhound's efforts to reinforce and build upon its brand identity, develop an effective messaging methodology for all communications with its target market, and perform various activities in support of client satisfaction and company growth.
Responsibilities
- Brand Identity and Messaging
- Promote Sparkhound's identity comprised of leadership, business focus, and effective, approachable people
- Educate target market about Sparkhound's approach
- Develop and maintain website and collateral materials
- Measure strengths/weaknesses of competition; develop positioning
- Update proposal and sales-related content
- Campaign and Event Coordination
- Promote relationships with key members of IT community
- Educate clients on the direction of key technologies
- Support Sparkhound sales goals and initiatives
- Partner Management
- Ensure communication of marketing efforts and sales opportunities with Microsoft, Dell, and Cisco
- Coordination of resource and skill requirements
- Customer Loyalty
- Identification of market needs via key/targeted client interactions
- Customer satisfaction surveys
- Develop and manage marketing operating budget
Skills Requirements
- Significant strategic planning experience
- Ability to make and implement tough decisions
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Thorough understanding of marketing, branding, and selling principles as it relates to technology services
- Knowledge of the Adobe or similar tools for design and content management
- Experience managing creative vendor relationships for collateral creation, brand messaging, and other creative talents that are a benefit to the company.
Education & Experience Requirements
- BA or related degree required
- MBA with marketing specialization desired
- 5+ years experience in B2B agency or corporate marketing management desired
