Base salary: $80,000-$85,000
Commission: Based on units sold plus a recurring residual. Target compensation is $140,000-$150,000+ after the first year.
Travel: 25-30% travel may be required
Job Description: The credit card business unit of BankServ (Mobilescape) is searching for a business development manager. The successful candidate will have experience in the credit card industry and will have a proven track record at achieving quotas and developing enterprise accounts.
This position's responsibilities are wide ranging, including selling multiple unit enterprise deals, seeking out and setting up distribution agreements, and managing a small but growing internal team of direct and indirect sales people.
The wireless processing arena is rapidly evolving, and there are many untapped opportunities to gain market share. Many organizations are beginning to understand the business advantages of wirelessly processing payments, whether on dedicated devices or on smartphones and PDAs.
These are a few of the many enterprises that are open for targeting:
Residential services companies such as electricians, HVAC, plumbers, pool service, moving companies, landscaping, carpet cleaners, etc.
Transportation companies such as limo services and taxi fleets
Food delivery services
Mobile car detailing, veterinary services, etc.
Rental furniture delivery and collections
Business development opportunities are also widespread. These may include setting up reseller agreements, or marketing partnership agreements. Examples include:
Back office accounting and scheduling software providers for small businesses
Trusted advisors such as CPAs
Existing equipment resellers
Home warranty associations
Franchise companies
Responsibilities:
Meet team sales quotas.
Work with senior management to define and set sales strategy for business unit while ensuring proper implementation, follow-up and follow-through of strategy.
Execute sales process and strategy for new and existing customers.
Interface with customers and prospective customers to discuss their needs and the long-term value of BankServ solutions.
Closely communicate with operations after the sale to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Provide sales forecasting and pipeline development.
Monitor and report key information and metrics to the business unit manager and CEO.
Recruit, manage, motivate and retain an experienced world-class sales team.
