The purpose of this position is to solicit and enroll Medicare Beneficiaries into Universal American benefit plans and other traditional insurance products and services that are made available from sales management. The purpose is to also coordinate senior related community events; represent Universal American and its interests in the community; and adhere to the marketing guidelines as published and amended by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Sales Representative shall be supportive of Universal American’s interest and goals in marketing to approved targeted populations
- Be in alignment with company and branch office core values and expectations.
- Complete follow-up on leads generated from Universal American marketing activities and assigned by Sales Management.
- Conduct organized community seminars as scheduled by marketing staff or self.
- Solicit, coordinate, schedule, and participate in Senior- related Community Events.
- Solicit, coordinate and conduct organized physician practice marketing efforts and seminars as assigned.
- Produce sufficient sales to meet and exceed company and branch office production standards.
- Represent Universal American in a professional and positive manner in the marketplace consistent with CMS and Universal American policies and procedures.
- Become proficient in the required company database systems.
- Travel required.
- Maintain minimum activity standard set forth by branch office management. Report marketing activity weekly to sales management. Prepare and present annual marketing plan to sales management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by sales management.

- Active and in good standing state Department of Insurance.
- Proficient oral, written communication skills and demonstrated computer skills - bilingual preferred not mandatory.
- Exhibit strong time management and organization skills.
