SCOPE
:
Under general direction, provides service and support to ensure efficient, appropriate maintenance and administration of companys Information Technology for corporate based and mobile employees. Provides technical assistance and training to system users. Participates in needs assessments, product evaluations, implementation planning, conversion planning and verification, testing, trouble shooting and training. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
· Maintains all on site computer equipment including personal computers, servers, and peripherals. Provides support for corporate users in a mixed network environment
· Performs installation and upgrades on peripherals such as Network Interface Cards, Display Adaptors, USB broadband card, and PCMCIA Cards.
· Supports Information Technology standards while deploying and upgrading hardware and software, and monitoring/troubleshooting production equipment. Loads specified software packages such as operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite and various Business Applications. Conducts training of various office applications including Microsoft Office applications and others. (moved from previous line)
· Provides technical advice for purchasing new computer equipment. Coordinates with corporate implementations on providing local technical assistance on all office moves, new site implementation, and office expansions.
· Performs all local help desk functions including answering general questions, working with the corporate help desk on issues, and reporting problems. Maintains all warranty and inventory records for local computer equipment.
· Assists in troubleshooting phone system repairs and/or updates in coordination with corporate telecommunication.
· Keeps management informed of status of projects and issues through routine written reports.
· Installs, configures and troubleshoots all supported PDAs including Blackberrys, Treos and Windows Mobile Devices.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:
Bachelors degree in MIS, business or related technical field or equivalent work experience required. Minimum five years in workstations configuration, networking computer systems, systems operations and PC environment systems experience. Healthcare
experience preferred. A+ or other hardware certifications preferred.
